Universal Beijing Resort - Hollywood

Budget: +$1M

Project Size: 100,000+ sqm

Had the opportunity to take full ownership of an identified scope gap, a Harry Potter "shop in shop" within the land's design because of my experience with various disciplines on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter land. Taking over the full project and design management for the facility was an exciting way to dive in and apply my knowledge of various disciplines, and strong background in financial and project management. This also gave me the opportunity to hone my project management and coordination skills with various disciplines, while providing the necessary facility inputs required for cohesive development within the architectural and engineering design packages to bring the scope back on schedule. In this role, I was also tasked with the responsibility of selecting and designing various props and show elements to share with Warner Brothers for IP approval. To ensure cohesive interior design of the space, collaboration with the Harry Potter land Interior Designer was key to ensure interiors, showset, and show elements were in line with Warner Brothers brand guidelines. Worked with key external and internal stakeholders to develop ROM estimates and shipping for the various elements. In this role, I was also task with learning Maya and photo-bashing in Photoshop to design and overlay various textures and assets for photo-real renderings for IP buyoff. For this project, I initiated a 360 project management dashboard and design bible to ensure full and cohesive design coordination of the space from Bluesky design, through Warner Brothers buyoffs and shipping/logistics coordination.
